Hi!
My name is Arindam and I am a Computer Science graduate student at the University at Buffalo. I am pursuing my Master of Science degree with a thesis based on research on probabilistic databases. I graduated from the West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science. I have an interest in application and systems programming. I also like playing video games, banging some tunes on a piano and watching football. I am graduating in May 2016 and looking for full time Software Development positions. You can find my resume here.
I have been working with Professor Oliver Kennedy at UB on Mimir, an ETL tool that makes data analytics easier by streamlining the data cleaning process. My work on this project began as a summer assistantship developing new features for the tool including statistical metrics for query results and a web interface for faster and easier use.
Subsequently, I began working on efficient join strategies in Mimir, which became the topic of my Master's Thesis. There is a paper currently under submission for SIGMOD 2016. Arxiv
